Book Audit
n8n automation, built and owned by you

Custom n8n workflows, not another SaaS subscription.

Zapier gets expensive and inflexible fast. I build automations on n8n, on your accounts, that you own outright — with AI agents where they actually save time.

Why n8n

Off-the-shelf automation tools hit a wall

Zapier bills grow with your business

Per-task pricing punishes you for scaling. What starts at $20/month becomes $200 once your automations actually matter.

Simple triggers aren't enough anymore

Multi-step logic, AI decision-making, error handling — most no-code tools cap out fast. n8n doesn't.

You don't own what you rely on

Cancel a SaaS subscription and your automations disappear with it. n8n runs on infrastructure you control.

What I build

Workflows that fit your business, not a template

01

Audit call

A 20-minute video call. You show me your process, I map what can be automated and what it's worth.

02

Build sprint

I build your n8n workflows in 30 days — including AI agents where they replace manual judgment calls. Weekly check-ins.

03

Handover & support

You get documentation, a walkthrough, and full ownership. Optional monthly support if you want me to keep improving it.

Ownership

Owning your automation layer versus renting it

There's a real cost difference between owning your automation layer and renting it, and it shows up slowly, not on day one.

Most no-code automation tools charge per task or per run. That's fine at ten automated actions a month. At ten thousand, the bill scales with your business instead of your headcount, which is backwards — the whole point of automation is that growth shouldn't cost you more manual hours. n8n's pricing doesn't work that way. You pay for hosting, which is a fixed, small cost regardless of how many workflows run through it.

The bigger issue is lock-in. When your automations live inside a vendor's platform, your process is only as good as their roadmap. If they change pricing, deprecate a feature, or get acquired, your workflows are stuck wherever they decide to put them. I've seen agencies build two years of process on top of a tool that then triples its price or sunsets the exact integration they depend on.

"You own the workflows" is a specific claim, not a slogan. It means three concrete things. First, the n8n instance is yours — self-hosted on infrastructure you control, or on an account under your name if you use n8n's cloud. Second, the API keys for every connected service — OpenAI, Stripe, WhatsApp, whatever — are yours, entered by you, billed to you. I never sit between you and those accounts. Third, every workflow can be exported as JSON. That file is the entire automation: every node, every condition, every connection. You can back it up, hand it to another developer, or import it into a fresh n8n instance if you ever move hosting.

None of that requires me. That's deliberate. If I build something you can't operate without me, I haven't actually automated your process — I've just created a new dependency. The Automation Pack ends with you holding the keys, the workflows, and the documentation, not with you holding a login to something I run.

FAQ

Common questions about n8n consulting

What is n8n, and why not just use Zapier?

n8n is an open-source automation platform. I run it on infrastructure you control, so your data and your workflows stay yours — no per-task fees, no vendor deciding your pricing next year. Zapier works fine for simple two-step automations, but it gets expensive and rigid fast once you need branching logic, AI steps, or custom API calls. n8n handles that without the markup.

If our engagement ends, do the automations keep running?

Yes. I build on your n8n instance, using your accounts and your API keys. When the engagement ends, the workflows keep running exactly as they were left. You're not renting access to something I control — you own the setup outright from day one.

Who hosts everything, and who pays for what?

You host it, typically on a small cloud server or n8n's own hosting, and you hold the accounts for any connected services like OpenAI or Stripe. I set it up and configure it during the build. You pay the hosting and API costs directly to those providers, not through me.

How long does a build actually take?

The Automation Pack delivers three live automations within 30 days, with weekly check-ins so you see progress and can redirect early. Simpler single automations can be live within a week. The Audit Sprint itself takes one week and ends with a roadmap and ROI estimates.

What happens when an automation breaks?

n8n workflows fail loudly, not silently — you get an error notification instead of a quiet gap in your process. If you're on the retainer, I monitor and fix issues as part of the plan. Without it, you can bring me back for a fix or hand the documentation to your own team.

Do I actually need AI here, or is that just hype?

Sometimes no. A lot of what I build is plain logic: move data, trigger a message, update a record. AI earns its place when a step needs judgment — reading a message to route it, drafting a first-pass reply, summarising a document. I add it where it removes real manual work, not by default.
